Goal 6: Clean water & Sanitation

Universities have a pivotal role to play in supporting the drive for clean water and sanitation. Our university embeds this SDG’s principles into our policy framework to ensure a lasting commitment to the goal. We map and monitor issues related to this goal, identify gaps and report progress to the university community and the public. We implement water-saving measures across departments and units of the university through an efficient wastewater management system. We incorporate topics on this goal into our curricula across disciplines to educate students about the challenges and the way forward. We support student-led projects on innovative approaches to addressing water and sanitation challenges. We encourage interdisciplinary research on sustainable water use and sanitation matters. Through our town, crown and gown workshops, we create awareness on water conservation and hygiene practices.
