As an academic institution, we integrate peace, justice and human rights in our curricula to educate future leaders on the importance of a peaceful, inclusive society through the university’s Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies. We encourage open dialogue and promote human rights awareness on nondiscrimination within our campus.
We conduct and support innovative research on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and legal frameworks to address the root causes of violence and injustice. We have the Centre for Justice and Institute for Legislative Studies, which serve as our think tanks and research centres for partnership with government, NGOs and communities on peacebuilding issues.
As an institution with zero tolerance for injustice, we implement transparent and accountable structures within our university through our Anticorruption and Transparency/Monitoring Unit, setting an example for the broader community.
The efficiency of the legal system is dependent on the quality of its professionals. Therefore, our university educates future professionals in law, peacekeeping, civil enforcement, and related fields, producing seasoned graduates who fully prepare for roles that support justice and peacebuilding. We also offer professional training and workshops for stakeholders in the security agencies through the Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies to upscale and update their skills and knowledge.
