At the University of Ilorin, we conduct research on biodiversity, conservation, resource management and sustainable agriculture, influencing government policies and the public through our recommendations from the findings. We involve students in conservation practices through our campus biodiversity campaign and student-led sustainability programmes. We have also integrate sustainability concepts into our General Studies to raise awareness among our students. We equally partner with local communities to protect habitats, promote sustainable land use and support conservation initiatives beyond our campus boundaries. To reduce our university’s footprint, we currently invest in smart buildings, sustainable infrastructure and efficient water management.
