Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities

In our effort to support this goal, we conduct extensive research on sustainable urban planning, smart city technologies and renewable energy, providing empirical solutions to urban challenges. We collaborate with businesses and agencies through policy-based recommendations from our findings to address urban planning challenges like affordable housing, pollution and disaster management.

The knowledge and skills of environmental scientists are of immense importance in achieving this goal. Therefore, we integrate the principles of sustainable cities in our curricula, educating future architects, urban planners, engineers and policymakers on urban resilience and sustainable practices.

We collaborate with local governments and civil society to create and/or implement sustainable urban development projects. We also promote awareness of sustainable urban practices through campaigns and outreach.
